English and Urdu Debate Competitions News Story

Karachi: To speak fluently and eloquently in front of an audience is both an art and a skill that flourishes through training and guidance. Debate competitions are regular feature of the Beaconhouse Steel Town Branch. Keeping this in view, English and Urdu Debate Competitions were held during the first week of May 2017, for Classes IV to V. It was organised by Ms Abida Bashir and Ms Nuzhat Ahsan from the English Department and Ms Neelam and Ms Seema from the Urdu Department. Students presented thought-provoking arguments and spoke eloquently.

Class IV English Debate Winners:

Topic: Should students be allowed to choose their teacher in school
1st: Jawad Ali Kazmi and Rana Shahzaib
2nd: Aliza Mehboob
3rd: Soha Shehzad

Class V English Debate Winners:

Topic: Success depends on luck not on one’s own ability
1st: Hamza, Class V-B
2nd: Muhammad Nabeel Kazi, Class V-B
3rd: Syeda Ayesha Kamran, Class V-B

Class IV Urdu Debate Winners:

1st Jawaad Ali
2nd Wareesha and Aleeza Mehboob
3rd Aleeza Mushtaq

Class V Urdu Debate Winners:

Group B: Nadia, Abeer, Ahsan, Haris, Misbah, Jawad, Ayesha Siddiqa, Faraz, Ameer Hamza and Fatima
